Author of more than 150 publications. The Creative Age: Awakening Human Potential in the Second Half of Life (Harper Collins, 2001) is the first book totally focused on creativity and aging and was featured on PBS. His new book is The Mature Mind: The Positive Power of the Aging Brain (Basic Books, 2006). He is the primary investigator of the Creativity and Aging Study sponsored by the National Endowment for the arts.

Each exhibit space is one 6' x 30” table with linen, skirting and two chairs. Electricity is an additional $25. Please request access in advance. Please designate "Summer Series on Aging" on the check. We accept both MasterCard and Visa credit cards.

Continuing Education

We offer contact hours and/or continuing education credits for a variety of disciplines. There is a charge of $15 for each CE discipline requested. This year we have applied to several more than in previous years. Here is a list. Unless otherwise indicated all are pending. We have requested approximately 20 CE’s/24 for disciplines who count 50-minute hours. Please check back with us concerning the status of your discipline:

    • The University of Kentucky, College of Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. The Kentucky Board of Nursing (KBN) approves The University of Kentucky, College of Nursing as a provider as well. ANCC and KBN approval of a continuing nursing education provider does not constitute endorsement of program content nor commercial sponsors. This activity is offered for a maximum of ANCC (60 minute) 16.7 and 20.1 KBN (50 minute) contact hours for nurses who attend all sessions ( 6/12/08 = 7.5 KBN [6.2 ANCC], contact hours 6/13/08 = 7.8 KBN [6.5 ANCC] contact hours, 6/14/08 = 4.8 KBN [4.0ANCC] contact hours and post session = 3.6 KBN [3.0 ANCC] contact hours).
